Caste Discrimination, treating members of certain Indian castes poorly, happens in online communities. It takes many forms: derogatory jokes, slurs, “outing” people as Dalits, etc.

To help online communities recognize and respond to it, we’ve partnered with Social Media Matters to produce a Behavior Identification model that can detect Caste Discrimination within online communities. Our CEO, Justin Davis, explains more in his Medium blog here.

The content collected here will help you understand how Caste Discrimination can find its way into your community, and what you can do about it.
